Frequently Asked Questions

  • What makes the coating last so long?
A special complex blend of resins and polymers combined with Titanium Dioxide pigment- not cheap fillers.

  • Does mildew grow on the coating, and if not, why?
Multiple mildewcides are incorporated in the manufacturing process to make Extreme Performance Coating very mildew resistant.

  • Does the coating work on stucco, wood, brick, aluminum siding, and vinyl?
Yes, the small particle technology in adheres to most surfaces including otherwise difficult to paint vinyl siding. Extreme Performance Coating conforms to the substrate to which it is applied, meaning if your home is stucco, it will still look like stucco, and rough sawn cedar will still look like rough sawn cedar.

  • What about rotted wood how is that taken care of?
Moisture is the primary contributor to rotted wood. All damaged or rotted wood should be removed, and when possible replaced with synthetic materials such as vinyl brick mold or cement composite sidings before using the Extreme Performance Coating System

  • What are the choices of colors?
    Colors are nearly unlimited

  • What if we decide to change the color in the future?
Changing colors can be done at anytime. Simply have a light coat of Extreme Performance Bonding Primer applied, and the color of your choice in Extreme Performance Coatings.

  • Is the coating similar to spray-on vinyl siding?
Spray-On vinyl siding is a generic term. The Extreme Performance Coating System has been independently tested by DL Laboratories in Brooklyn New York to prove it's performance characteristics. When choosing a spray-on type siding, be sure to compare test results so you know what you are getting.

  • Will the coating fade?
It's been said that even a rock will fade given enough time. Extreme Performance Coatings premium quality raw materials make it very fade resistant.

  • What if the coating doesn't adhere to my house?
The key is being sure the preparation is thorough, especially removing all loose paint so the Extreme Performance Coating Systems is applied to a solid sound substrate. The small particle technology of Extreme Performance Bonding Primer provides maximum adhesion. One of the most common reasons for adhesion failure is moisture entrapment. The Extreme Performance Coating Systems has the highest perm rating in our industry backed by independent testing and is the only coating system who reports who measures the breathability of the entire system, not just the top coat.
